I have been holding onto the photos of my son’s second birthday. I tend to keep my personal life private and I cherish these memories so much I have been timid to share them publicly. I have opted to share his party details here because as the theme alludes…my little boy does have a story to tell.

We chose a story theme for my son’s 2nd birthday for a couple of reasons. For one, he loves to read. I like to believe his love for “reading” is do to all the reading I did to him while I was pregnant and the journal of letters I wrote to him while I was waiting to meet him (something I continue to do). Second, I know he is the most precious thing in this world and has a story to tell. Mason was born 5.5 weeks early and just a week after my grandmother passed away. In my heart I believe the timeline has a greater meaning than what we know.

We were in the hospital for a few extra days, but were so pleased to go home with a super healthy boy. The struggles we faced and milestones we met in the next few months made both Mason, my husband, and I so much stronger. Every day he has surprised us and blessed us with his smile making us realize what life really is! Although we are showing him the world, I am so thankful this little guy chose me to be his mom and has given me the opportunity to love beyond comprehension. He is my everything.

Here are a few photos. I promise to return (soon) with the proper vendor credits that is deserved.
